• Art Program – Instructor and Supplies (1-6^th grade and as a class elective for 7^th-8^th grades)
• Music Department – teacher stipend and field trip for 6^th-8^th grade choir and band students to see the Broadway production of “Wicked”



Why do we need FESDEF when we have Parents' Club?

FESDEF and Parents' Club will take on the challenge of filling the large gap left by inadequate state and federal funding.  This challenge, represents the critical difference in instructional quality for our children.  As a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation, FESDEF has additional opportunity to attract funds from philanthropic sources within and outside the community.  FESDEF has access to a state and nationwide network of similar educational foundations which can help provide both funding and fund-raising strategies. In addition, FESDEF can pay for teacher salaries.

Mini-Grant Program

FESDEF is pleased to offer the Mini-Grant Program to teachers, administrators and staff of Franklin Elementary School. Grants will be awarded up to a maximum of $500 per applicant. Funding criteria for grants are for field trips which enrich the curriculum.
